Portfolio Transactions
A significant amount of activity related to portfolio acquisitions has been generated over the last several years and it is expected to continue. This activity is driven by several key factors such as corporations moving their real estate portfolios off balance sheet at wholesale prices. Another contributing factor is LBO and other institutional buyers capitalizing on pricing inefficiencies in the public and private markets. Portfolio sales are anticipated to maintain their current levels as corporations continue to outsource their real estate through sale leasebacks and the supply of global capital investing in real estate continues to fuel buyout activity in the corporate and REIT markets.
